Sapporo Teppanyaki is a contemporary and bright restaurant with an extensive menu, including hot and cold appetisers, noodle dishes and house specialities.
This is fun and unique place to have a night out. The theatre style is fun and getting to join in the the cooking experience is great, but the food is not that varied or good for the price. The drinks are very overpriced and the table service was appalling. It was good for a works night and the birthdays who where there seemed to enjoy themselves but if you want a more traditional type of night out then try somwhere else
The food is brilliant, and has a great choice, something for everyone ranging from chicken, lamb, beef to monkfish etc.The theatre-style entertainment as you eat is something new and interesting, and entices customers back many times. The chef always has a laugh and does daft things like catches eggs in his hat! If its your birthday watch out as it’ll be you catching the egg!! The main meals cost £13-£20 so it is quite pricey, and I wouldn't say it was suitable for kids really.I would go with a group of people, friends or work colleagues for the best experience. It isn't the same if just 2 of you go and you don't know the other people on your table. Definitely worth a visist!

This is the first restaurant of its kind I have been to, and I would definitely go again. However it is quite expensive so I would save it for posh occasions. Plus it is ideal mainly for a fun night out, with a group of friends or family - you all sit around a thin semi circle table, about 12 or so to a table, and the chef cooks your meal for you in the middle. He provides entertainment, throwing food to catch in your mouth etc. If just a couple of you go then you have to share the table with other people, but this doesn't seem a problem as you are all siting in a line. The food is good, they do a meal where you get a meat dish, potatoes, rice, vegetables and they give each part as it is cooked so just start eating whatever you get.
