What is payroll giving?

Payroll giving is a flexible scheme which allows employees, including pensioners, paid through PAYE, to give regularly and on a tax free basis to the charities of their choice as all donations will be deducted from employees? wages or salaries before they are assessed for tax.

In order for an organisation to make pre-tax donations they must be registered
with a payroll giving agency, such as Charities Trust.

A donation of ?5 per month costs the individual, at the standard tax rate, only ?3.90 your selected charity will receive ?4.75 (?5 less 25p admin charge).

The system is simple and designed to ensure that the scheme can be implemented with ease and efficiency at no cost to your business.
