  • 8 Fantastic Family Dining

We visited Pizza Express recently with my parents and my seven year old nephew and we were all happy with the food and the service. The food was of a high standard and the service was particularly good. The food was value for money and satisfied both a fussy child and a vegetarian. I asked for my pizza without cheese and the resulting dish was extremely tasty, I also felt that making a special request was no problem. Although we felt that the drinks were a little steep. The atmosphere was super on a Saturday Night and I would recommend this place highly especiaaly for family meals and celebrations involving children as Pizza Express is a child friendly venue.

  • 8 Consistently good standard

Finding myself in Liverpool unexpectedly I opted for PE for lunch with two young kids and grandfather in tow. Housed in an attractive period building PE offers a family friendly atmosphere and menu with out compromising on style (too much!). I had my staple option of Caesar salad, which I find really quite delicious. The PE dressing is very flavoursome and I was happily accommodated when I requested it "on the side". My children tried Pizza Romana for the first time. I am happy to state, after a sneaky taste that it is very pleasant, with a extra thin, crispy base. The usual friendly waiting staff and drawing things (and stickers) made the children feel comfortable. Always a good bet!

  • 8 nice as always

I always find Pizza Express's have the same good quality tasty food in all their restaurants. They have a good range of pizza's and now have different types of bases to choose from. They also do good salads. I would perhaps suggest they did a couple more pasta options without cheese. But obviously this is more of a pizza place and they do them well. They are a bit more expensive than a cheap and cheerful Italian, but more suited to a special occasion or treat. This Pizza Express is also in a nice big old building which makes it a bit more impressive and special. They have a brilliant Kids menu, where they bring about 3 courses which are all mini versions of the adult dishes, including a mini coffee-free capuccino (Bambinoccino - just froffy milk really but in a nice mini mug).

  • 10 Great pizzas, reliable and tasty

Does what it says on the tin...Pizza Express on Victoria Street is a franchised restaurant, part of the huge London based chain. With Pizza Express you know what you get - food is of a great consistent quality, staff well trained and the menu is updated regularly to ensure return visitors have something new to try. But if you are anything like my family you already have your firm Pizza Express favourite, and you won't be disappointed here.Try: Dough Balls, Soho Pizza (with rocket and parmesan) and Pizza Pollo Ad Astra (with chicken and Peppadew peppers).Pizz Express is very child friendly, with highchairs readily available, little chefs' hats for the kids, colouring in-books and constantly changing toys (like memory games or shoe lace challenges). The kids meals are excellent, too!
