I am a professionally qualified and BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, with 18 years experience, providing individual and couple counselling, including CBT, on a short-term and long-term basis in an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sessions take place in a caring, professional and safe environment, which is sufficiently challenging to effect change. Working together we can help you gain better understanding of yourself, to overcome obstacles in your life, and reach your goals. I work with people on a wide range of issues. My expertise lies in the areas of: anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, sexuality and self-esteem. There are a number of different approaches to counselling. I work primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which all have a strong evidence base. The quality of the therapeutic relationship contributes to a positive outcome in counselling, which is very important in my work. I offer a non-judgemental approach, without discrimination on such grounds as sex, race, religion, class, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
